Exit door wide open at Pirates

Having already signed, sealed and delivered nine recruits so far in this transfer window, Orlando Pirates are understood to be finalizing loan moves for several players on their roster.

Bucs have moved swiftly and aggressively in the transfer window, announcing the arrivals of as many as nine players, with more still expected to be formally unveiled. These include Oswin Appollis, Sipho Mbule, and Sinoxolo Kwayiba.

That influx of arrivals has left question marks about some within the squad. This publication understands the Soweto giants are finalising the exit of several players.

Goodman Mosele is expected to leave, albeit on loan. Chippa United is his most likely destination, and a move is set to be completed in the coming days, according to reports.

He made just seven appearances last term, having returned from a season-long loan spell with the Chilli Boys.

Also believed to be heading out on loan is Azola Tshobeni. The stocky midfielder made only three appearances with none of them coming as a start. Not travelling with the rest of his teammates on the trip to Spain may be a signal a deal will be worked out in the coming days.

One player understood to be leaving on a permanent basis is Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.

The 30-year-old's contract expired on 30 June, and there has been no word from the club regarding a renewal. He leaves the Houghton-based outfit having made 65 appearances and won four trophies.

These are just a few positions that will experience a major shake-up, with the club also on the lookout for a striker. Indications are that they will part ways with at least one of the marksman currently on the books.
