Former Richards Bay FC striker Thabiso Kutumela has resurfaced at Betway Premiership new boys Durban City FC.

Kutumela began his professional football career at Motsepe Foundation Championship club Baroka FC, before moving to Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United.

In the 2015/2016 season, it was his goals that helped Bakgaga finish on top of the national first division, after finishing on top of the top goalscorers chart.

He then moved to Maritzburg United [now known as Durban City FC], and was later transferred to Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 32-year-old spent the 2024/2025 Season playing at Richards Bay FC, but has since been released and now he is a free agent following his struggles for game time at the Natal Rich Boyz.
