Just last week, goalkeeper Sipho Chaine added to the list of victims, following in the injury footsteps of midfield duo Makhehlene Makhaula and Thalente Mbatha.
Ahead of their final match of the season against Usuthu, the Soweto giants have suffered another setback in the form of Selaelo Rasebotja, who confirmed via his social media that he has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
The recovery required for an injury of this nature will effectively rule the former SuperSport United man out for the rest of the season.
He is even at risk of missing out on pre-season.
The midfielder took to social media to confirm that he had undergone a successful surgery.
"Definitely not how I would’ve loved to finish the season. But God’s will always prevails, and surely this too shall pass.
