Chivaviro’s options post Chiefs

The possibilities facing Ranga Chivaviro after the end of his time at Kaizer Chiefs will go beyond South Africa.

Chiefs have not acted on the option of a further year on Chivaviro’s contract, paving way for departure on a free transfer.

His exit will come as no surprise having fallen out of favour this year.

Chivaviro has now not played any football for 10 weeks since his last appearance against Cape Town City on March 12.

The 32-year-old has nine goals in 45 appearances at the Soweto giants, failing to live up to the expectations that came with his signing after he banged 17 goals throughout the season he spent at Marumo Gallants.

This website has been told that besides the local possibilities which will all come with a salary cut, there are also options outside the borders.

Information reaching this publication is that there have been questions asked about his package by two clubs outside the country.

One of the contacts spoke to this website and mentioned figures comparable to what lower end clubs in the PSL pay.

On the local front, Chivaviro’s options will swing towards Magesi FC.
