Footballer blows R524m on rare Rolls-Royce

A soccer star has pulled out all the stops to make sure he got his hands on one of only three of this Rolls Royce model.

Galatasaray's Mauro Icardi spent a handsome amount of money to secure the purchase of a rare, flashy set of new wheels.

The Italian forward splashed the cash on the stunning Rolls Royce Boat Tail, joining an elite list of people who own the only three models that have been made. 

According to the Daily mail, the other two are owned by billionaire rapper Jay-Z and an industrialist who is said to have made his fortune in the pearl industry. 

The news outlet further reported that it takes four years for one to be built by hand. 

"Boat Tail is our most ambitious project yet. Coachbuild, in collaboration with its clients, has ignored all preconceived notions of possibility and set a new standard. This is Bespoke at its purest," CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Torsten Muller-Otvos told the official website. 

Autojosh reports that the car costs over £22 million (R524 million), making it the most expensive car in the world. 

According to Supercar World, the Boat Tail has twin-turbo V12 engine. that produces a whopping 563 brake horsepower. 

Icardi will not only be be arriving to Galatasaray training with a roaring engine but in immense luxury too!
