Update on Chiefs' out-of-action duo

An update has been issued on Kaizer Chiefs duo Rushwin Dortley and Given Msimango, who are both yet to feature this season due to injuries.
Chiefs are gearing up to take on Richards Bay FC in their third match of the Betway Premiership season at FNB Stadium on Tuesday (19:30), looking to make it three wins from three after seeing off Polokwane City and Stellenbosch FC.
They will have to do it without the services of Dortlely and Msimango, who, although have started individual training, are yet to join the side in full training.
The pair are mobile enough to run several laps as part of their training, not yet ready for full-on contact training with the rest of the team, as they were spotted during the club’s media open day on Monday morning.
Speaking to journalists at the pre-match press conference, Amakhosi assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef provided the latest on the duo.
"With Dortley, he keeps working with our medical staff, who are doing a very good job with him," said Ben Youssef.
"Soon, I think in a few weeks, he’ll be back with us, and he and Given will start the training sessions with the team.
"This season, we have started without Msimango and Dortley, as they are still injured, and when they come back, they will help the team with the experience they have and also with the confidence they will fight for this position."
Nevertheless, both the team’s technical staff and supporters will not be too concerned, as the squad remains well-stocked with options at the back. Inacio Miguel and Aden McCarthy have been the centre-back pairing, with Zitha Kwinika also available as cover.
