Mashiane got his first-team break at Chiefs in January 2019 under Ernst Middendorp.

Left-footed and useful both at left-back and further up the pitch in midfield attacking areas on the flank, Mashiane has played his football under Middendorp, Gavin Hunt, Stuart Baxter, Arthur Zwane, Molefi Ntseki, Cavin Johnson, and Nasreddine Nabi.
While he hasn’t firmly established himself as a regular except for the 2020/21 season when he played 26 games under Hunt, he has added value in the squad as a left-footed option.
Only Bruce Bvuma has now been with the club longer than him.
This website has since established that Mashiane will remain at the club into the new season having been handed an extension.
His previous contract was due to go up at the end this month and now has another deal to keep him at the club beyond June.

The 27-year-old played nine games this past season, sitting behind Bradley Cross and Edmilson Dove.
Dove is expected to leave if Chiefs get their options, leaving Mashiane as an option.
