Kaizer Chiefs’ latest signing Flavio Antonio da Silva has been given the green-light to pursue his career at his new club following his arrival at Naturena.
Silva – who was born in Guinea-Bissau but also holds Portuguese citizenship - has made the switch from Indonesia’s Liga 1, where he has played for Persik Kediri and Persebaya Surabaya.

He previously played in Luxemborg and in the lower divisions in Portugal.
The 29-year-old arrives at Chiefs having scored nine goals in 33 appearances last season for Surabaya after hammering 23 the previous season while at Persik Kediri.

"Good luck in your new career," reads a statement from his previous employers Surabaya.

Silva was without a goal throughout the seven games he played during his time at FC Mondercange in Luxemburg before he then moved to Indonesia
Throughout the eight years that Silva spent playing in the Portuguese Second Division, he had a total of 17 goals and has had the best time of his career while playing in Indonesia.
