The 26-year-old is a product of the Southampton Academy and has enjoyed spells with Port Vale and AFC Wimbledon in the lower tiers of English football.
Notably, he registered 16 goals and eight assists in 82 matches for Port Vale.
Chislett has so far featured in all three of the Soweto giants' pre-season matches.
Speaking to the Amakhosi website, the midfield man has opened up on how he is settling.
"Joining a new Club is never the easiest thing in the world. You have to adapt,” he admitted, before adding, “But since I joined, everyone has been amazing and I am so happy here.
"This is why I love South Africa; everyone smiles. I’d like to say I am fitting in really well. It’s a credit to my new teammates and the management staff for welcoming me so warmly.”
Chislette is understood to be a versatile midfielder, and although he has been deployed as a supporting striker and on either side of the wings, the Durban-born players favours a certain role.

"[I am a] versatile midfielder, can sit deep, play further forward and wide right, even striker a few times, although more in a ‘false 9’ role. I like to cut in from the left onto my right foot, but if I had to define my best position, it would be a ‘number 10’.”
He, will, however, still face stiff competition for a starting place with the likes of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Mduduzi Shabalala, and Gaston Sirino also able to slot into the number 10 role.
