Chiefs new signings lead the way for the Big Three

While Kaizer Chiefs have not been convincing through the early stages of the new season, their new signings have already raised their hands in stamping their authority by being ever-present.

Following yet another underwhelming campaign last term, Chiefs refreshed their squad in the off-season through also reshuffling their technical team with Molefi Ntseki taking over from Arthur Zwane.

There is no doubt that Edson Castillo has been the best transfer business done by Chiefs in years after coming in from Venezuela.

Castillo has taken to Chiefs like 'fish to water' featuring in all the seven games played by AmaKhosi across all competitions to date.

The 29-year-old has ticked all the boxes playing in midfield with the plus about his game being his ability to score having struck thrice already.

Given Msimango and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe have been quick in sorting out the mess in central defence that left Chiefs leaking goals last season.

Msimango has slotted in on the right while Ditlhokwe has perfectly taken care of the left in the centre bringing organisation and authority.

The pair has played every minute just like the third man making up the crucial triangle at the back Brandon Petersen.

Petersen has been firm despite making blunders that have been suicidal and has three clean sheets so far.

For fellow Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates, there has been no player who has featured in every minute of all the eight games played by the club to date.

Pirates have already done duty in the DStv Premiership, MTN8, and the CAF Champions League.

At Sundowns, only Ronwen Williams has started and finished every game from the eight played.

Williams just needs to stay injury free to keep his place between the posts ahead of Denis Onyango, Reyaad Pieterse, and Jody February.
