Lilepo joined the Soweto giants in January for a reported fee of around R10 million, making him one of the club's most expensive players alongside Ashley du Preez and Sibongiseni Mthethwa.

In his short time, he is proving to be worth the investment, as his six league goals have already made him the club's top scorer in the Betway Premiership this season.

Speaking to the club's media, Lilepo shared some insight into his adjustment.

"I think I have adapted pretty well, although there’s much room for improvement," the Congolese said.

"I have followed SA football for many years and played multiple times against Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League when I was playing for Al-Hilal in Sudan, so I knew where I was going when signing for Chiefs.

"From the facilities to Club operations, we have a lot of people working and taking care of us so we can focus on our mission. The management and staff do a lot to help us, the team, so we are aware that we must fight for them on the field.
