The Chilli Boys are currently on the lookout for a goalkeeper in Africa to replace the Super Eagles international in Gqeberha next season.
Nwabali was linked with a move to either Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates last season.
Chippa are in 11th place in the Betway Premiership standings on 31 points and could slip further down if Golden Arrows, who in 12th with 30 points, win against SuperSport United on Thursday.
The side, coached by Thabo September, conceded 28 goals in the league this season and are looking to improving their defensive record by bringing in a goalkeeper from Saint-Eloi Lupopo in the DR Congo.
He is currently the second-choice to Manchester United man Andre Onana in the Cameroon national team.
According to a source close to Chippa, the club has already helped the incoming star to secure a visa, which will allow him to travel to South Africa.

“Chippa United have shortlisted a few goalkeepers, including Simon Omossola, who is currently playing in Congo. He has been highly recommended to the club. There are other names of goalkeepers in Africa that have been mentioned,” said the source.
The club is also expected to announce a new coach to replace September.
