Cape Town City FC assistant coach Roger De Sa has revealed what he thinks might have contributed to the club's current situation.
The Citizens are set to defend their Betway Premiership place against two teams from the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the Premier Soccer League play-offs.

City finished in 15th position on the log table, with SuperSport United saving their status following a 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows on Thursday.
"I was not here when it started, but I think it's a combination of things, it's all about your squad composition, injuries comes, and some signings are not what you expected," De Sa tells KickOff.
"Sometimes you get two or three injuries all in the same position of the field. You start to struggle because you don't have the depth.
"It got so many factors, and of course the changing of coaches, that's always the sign as well.
"Look at a club like SuperSport United, who would have thought they could be fighting relegation?
"I mean in the beginning of the season good start with Gavin Hunt, and then they fight relegation until a freak out last 45 minutes that had to be played four months after the incident to survive.

"I mean you would have never thought that would happen. So that's the way it is. It's football.
"So there's too many factors that could have led to our current position, and you must put luck to it as well.
"Your goalscorers they both get injured, you struggle to score and things don't go your way. There's so many factors that can happen."
