Usuthu’s latest signing comes in

AmaZulu FC’s attacking options have widened following the conclusion of their latest signing ahead of his arrival at the club on Wednesday.

Usuthu will return for the new season minus Augustine Mulenga, Junior Dion, Boniface Haba, Ethan Brooks, Veli Mothwa, Andile Mbanjwa, Abbubaker Mobara, and Sandile Khumalo.

The long list of exits also has Mbongeni Gumede, Kwanda Mngonyama, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Thembela Sikhakhane, Wayde Jooste, Skhulile Manyoni, Rowan Human, and Msindisi Kunene.

The pair of Etiosa Ighodaro and Sifiso Ngobeni will not be staying after the expiry of their loan deals and have returned to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Several of those not returning are forwards and include Mulenga, Dion, Haba, and Ighodaro.

With the club having already added Keagile Malepe from Motsepe Foundation Championship club Pretoria Callies, they have concluded another deal.

Zimbabwean striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya’s deal has been signed and sealed after the opening of the transfer window on Tuesday, July 1.

Ngwenya has agreed to a two-year deal with an option of another two years and will be on the flight across the Limpopo River on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old will link up with Usuthu after putting in a fine performance at the recent COSAFA Cup held in Bloemfontein.

He makes the switch having scored nine goals at the halfway mark of the Zim PSL season, which runs on a calendar year.

The last of those goals was over the weekend.

Ngwenya will leave having been named the player of the month for May in Zimbabwe’s top league sponsored by Castle Lager.
