Mohamed Salah congratulates Kenya with classy dressing room gesture

Egypt star Mohamed Salah entered Kenya's dressing room after Thursday's match to make a classy gesture to his opponents.

Egypt played out a 1-1 draw against 10-man Kenya on Thursday in a result that saw the Harambee Stars' hopes of qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations brought to an end.

Despite the disappointment of the result, the East African's gave a good account of themselves against the record seven-time AFCON winners and their impressive performance was recognised by Salah following the match.

In a video recorded by Friends of Football, and shared by CAF, the Liverpool star is seen congratulating his opponents on their showing and offering his commiserations on their failure to reach the showpiece tournament.

While Kenya will not be travelling to Cameroon next year, their Group G rivals Comoros have secured their spot on the plane alongside Egypt after playing out a goalless draw against Togo earlier in the day.

In doing so, the minnows qualified for the AFCON tournament for the first time in their history and could even top their group with a victory over Hossam El Badry's side on Monday.
