Ghana coach Chris Houghton has explained why goalkeeper Richard Ofori retains the confidence of the national team, despite his lack of playing time at Orlando Pirates.
The 30-year-old, whose contract at Pirates is just months away from expiry, has made just three club appearances so far the season.

Both Sipho Chaine and new arrival Melusi Buthelezi have seemingly leaped-frogged Ofori in the Riveiro's preferred man between the sticks.
However, the shot-stopper still enjoys the confidence of his national team coach, who insisted that Ofori's has 'never let the team down' at national level ahead of Ghana's opening match at the AFCON, which ended in the defeat for the Black Stars.
"The goalkeeping situation is always a different and difficult one. Sometimes, you have a regular club starter. Sometimes you have someone not playing regularly who shines for the national team," Houghton said.
"Richard Ofori has never let the nation down with regards to availability and the job he has done," added Houghton.
"He's a big personality, someone I would like to think – because I can only speak for a short period of time, Dede (Ayew) can speak for a longer period of time.
