Man Utd target African star as first signing?

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for an African star in the latter stages of the January transfer window.

New coach Ruben Amorim has not been able to call on Luke Shaw due to injury, while Tyrell Malacia could be on his way out.

The Red Devils are now actively looking for a left-back who is able to play the wing-back role under Amorim.

According to the independent, United are now looking at Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The Algeria has impressed in the Premier League this season despite Wolves' battling relegation, having registered three goals and five assists this campaign.

The report claims that Amorim has made the left-back position a priority in the January transfer window to seek balance in his team.

At this moment, Amorim has been using Diogo Dalot in the left-wing back position, while Noussair Mazraoui has also featured in that position.

Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes is reportedly also a target for the Red Devils, but the player's price tag and wage demands are a hurdle for the English club.
