After initial reports suggested the LaLiga outfit would not be able to afford Antony’s fee and high wages, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Betis have agreed to pay €25 million (R515 million) for the attacker.
Notably, Antony was among a group of players informed by United that they were surplus to requirements under manager Ruben Amorim.
The 25-year-old was not even allowed to train with the rest of United’s first team before his departure.
