Football commentator Farouk Khan is backing Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns to secure all three points against Ulsan HD.
The two sides from Group F are set to clash in the FIFA Club World Cup tournament currently taking place in the United States.
Khan, who previously served as an assistant coach at Sundowns, believes they will perform well in their highly-anticipated opener against the Koreans.
"I was really impressed by Al Ahly in their opening match," Khan tells KickOff.
"They managed to secure a draw against big-name players, which proved that, in this tournament, reputation means little.
"It all comes down to how hungry you are for success on the day. Al Ahly demonstrated how well you can perform when you are fully prepared.
"I believe Sundowns are on par with Al Ahly in terms of competitive level. I’m quite confident they will do well against Ulsan.
"I'm putting my neck on the line—Sundowns will beat this team, they just need to play the football they’ve been showcasing all season," Khan added.
"While their opponents will present a strong defensive structure, I’m confident Sundowns will be able to break through. I'm putting my head on the block for Sundowns.
"Considering the pitches where this tournament is being held, the stage is set for Sundowns. There will be a lot of fans, and the incentives are significant. In such games, you either win or lose—it's as simple as that.
"The bottom line; Sundowns will beat this team, they just need to play the football they’ve been showcasing all season."
