After the departure of Sibongiseni 'Ox' Mthethwa, Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker was full of praise and gratitude for the star man.
Mthethwa recently departed the shores of Cape Town to join Johannesburg side Kaizer Chiefs on a permanent transfer after a buy-out clause in his contract was activated.

Barker seemed to be affected by Ox's departure, taking to social media to thank him for his services.
"The most amazing person, always giving your best, a true leader in the middle of the field," he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
"You will be greatly missed by everyone at the club, especially our supporters who have grown to love you so much. We wish you nothing but the best on your new journey."
The midfielder has made a big impact at the Cape Town club since joining them from Black Leopards in January 2022. He was also appointed as Stellenbosch's vice-captain at the beginning of the season.
"It's always sad to part ways with a player and person of Ox's calibre but we would like to wish him all of the best in this next step of his career," Stellenbosch FC CEO Rob Benadie told the club's official website.
"It's always sad to part ways with a player and person of Ox's calibre but we would like to wish him all of the best in this next step of his career.
"He was a consummate professional throughout his time in Stellenbosch and it goes without saying that his influence on the pitch and in the dressing room will be missed.
"Apart from his on-field contributions, he also played an active role in our communities and must be commended for the enthusiastic manner in which he embraced the SFC family and supporters."
