Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Mohamed Salah injury ahead of UEFA Champions League quarter-final

Salah, 25, has netted a staggering 38 goals in 43 games in his debut campaign with the Reds across all competitions this season but suffered an injury after scoring in their 3-0 win over the Citizens last week.

The Egypt international subsequently missed the Merseyside Derby on Saturday, as a much-changed Jurgen Klopp starting XI toiled to a 0-0 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

However, after the game, the German tactician revealed the club's medical staff are confident he will be fit in time for the vital second-leg fixture at the Etihad.

"I don't get a ticker every five minutes of how he feels so I don't know," he told reporters, as quoted by the Sport Review. "That's what everybody thinks [that he'll be available at Etihad Stadium] but in the end, we will see."
