Juventus star involved in war of words for alleged rape slur after UEFA Champions League exit

According to reports in Italian media, the Morocco international compared the penalty decision awarded against him for a challenge on Lucas Vazquez, to being raped.

"The penalty was a violation it was like getting raped. There was minimal contact with Vazquez, I tried to avoid touching him but he fell and the referee had the courage to whistle a penalty," Benatia reportedly said, according to Sky Italia. "I didn't intend to push him. This happened with Bayern here also."

His alleged comments in the post-match interview caused an uproar on social media and Italian talk-show host and comedian Maurizio Crozza blasted the antics of the Juve star.

"You can't talk about rape, you're the one who went up the *** in the 93rd minute," Crozza said, as quoted by Football Italia. "I don't know if you have any idea what rape is.

"Obviously neither do I, but if you want to experience the emotion then next time in the box stick it up there. At that point you’ll get an idea."
