Confirmed Line-Ups: UEFA Champions League, Liverpool vs Manchester City

City head coach Pep Guardiola confirmed they will be without the Argentina international in the first-ever European meeting between the two Premier League rivals.

The last time the Reds tasted defeat at home in the Champions League dates back to October 2014, a run that stretches 14 games.

It promises to be a goal fest between two exciting attack-minded outfits, with Leroy Sane and Roberto Firmino tipped for starring roles.

Sane has netted three times in his last two games against Klopp's side, while Firmino has scored seven goals and registered three assists in Europe this season.

Only Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo has contributed more goals than the Brazil international in the 2017/18 Champions League campaign

Liverpool: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Man City: Ederson, Walker, Kompany (C), Otamendi, Laporte, Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Sane, Jesus.
