A former Mamelodi Sundowns star who won the side's first league title in the PSL era has reacted to the latest achievement, after the Tshwane giants were confirmed as the Betway Premiership champions.
Sundowns captured their eighth consecutive league title after thrashing Chippa United 3-0 on Wednesday, making it their 15th in PSL history.

The side's former star Eric Ramasike, who was part of the generation that won it three times back-to-back in the Ted Dumitru days, asserts that this accomplishment is unlikely to be surpassed in our lifetime.
"What Sundowns has achieved can never be duplicated. I don’t see any team surpassing this record, they will have to work extremely hard. It won't be easy," says the left-footer.
"Players like (Lucas) Ribeiro (Costa), (Marcelo) Allende, Grant Kekana, and Thapelo Morena have all given their all this season. It's tough to single out one player because nobody carried the team alone.
"There was a period when Peter Shalulile was scoring goals consistently, and then Iqraam Rayners and Jayden Adams stepped up and made great contributions.
"We had a fantastic season, and what’s left now is to aim for the second star. We must reach the Club World Cup as African champions," he adds.
Ramasike says the Tshwane giants' investment in quality players makes it easier for whoever the coach is to build a strong team.
"In football, as long as you have quality, things typically go well - unless there is an issue with the coach.

"It's easy to bake a delicious cake when you have all the necessary ingredients. You don't start from scratch when you have quality players. With quality players, it's easier because you don’t have to teach them how to play football."
Sundowns have Magesi FC as their final league game at Loftus on Sunday (17:30), before then turning attention to the two-legged CAF Champions League final against Pyramids FC.
