Chiefs-linked striker extends scoring run in cup final

A striker linked with Kaizer Chiefs continued his fine form in front of goal after scoring in the Qatar Cup final on Saturday.

The Soweto were linked with Kenya international Michael Olunga at the start of the season, as they aimed to bolster their attack under Nasreddine Nabi.

Olunga was on target for Al-Duhail SC, who lost to Al Sadd in the Qatar Cup final on Saturday evening.

The Kenyan opened the scoring for the Al-Duhail, taking his tally to seven goals in his last 10 games for the club.

However, Al-Duhail were unable to get the job done as they lost to Al Sadd on penalties after it ended 2-2 in extra-time.

Olunga, meanwhile, has now registered 14 goals and four assists in 23 appearances for the Qatar outfit this term.

Al-Duhail SC also fell short in the Qatar Stars League title race, where they finished two points behind league leaders Al Sadd.
