The 19-year-old's performances has also attracted interest from Manchester United, but reports claim Dortmund are now aiming to secure another Bellingham.

Sky Germany have reported that Dortmund club chiefs and coach Niko Kovac were in England this week to discuss a potential transfer with Bellingham.

Bellingham, however, still has a contract with Sunderland that only expires in 2028.

Former Germany international Dietmar Hamann has backed Bellingham to adapt to German just as his older brother did.

"He's a very talented player who is in the playoffs for promotion to the Premier League with AFC Sunderland. The English second tier is one of the toughest leagues in Europe. Physicality is paramount in the Championship. It takes determination and character to make it there, and he achieved that as a young player. Once he's played there for two years and scored goals, nothing will scare him in the Bundesliga."

"BVB has had very positive experiences with Jude Bellingham, Sancho, and Gittens. Jobe Bellingham could help BVB with his qualities. Let's hope for Dortmund's sake that they get him," he wrote.
