Manchester United have now confirmed their first signing ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Red Devils have officially announced that they have secured the services of Netherlands international Joshua Zirkzee, purchasing him from Serie A side Bologna.

It is understood the forward completed a medical and had a one-on-one meeting with manager Erik ten Hag on Friday, before signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
The agreement is said to include the option to extend his stay for another year.
It is believed his transfer fee will amount to a total of €42.5 million (R829 million), which will be paid to Bologna over the course of three years.
Zirkzee is a product of Bayern Munich's youth system, and had loan spells at Parma and RSC Anderlecht before securing a permanent move to Bologna in 2022.

In the 2023/24 campaign, his second season with the Italian club, the 23-year-old made 37 appearances across all competitions, netting 12 goals and providing seven assists for the Serie A side.
