Madrid have blown hot and cold in LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League this season, as a 2-0 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk questioned their credentials to progress from Group B.
After seeing off Sevilla on Saturday, 'Zizou' shrugged off the notion shared by many in the footballing landscape but insisted to just carry out the daily duties in the best interest of the club.
"I've never seen myself as untouchable at this club. Not as a player or as a coach. Never. I'm here for a reason, and I'm living this thing until the final day," Zidane told reporters according to SportsMole.
"When you don't win it's normal that you get criticism. It's not going to change nor will it change how I think of my players and the job I do on a daily basis. There are clearly difficulties in this job. We're going to continue regardless.
"Yes we've had difficult times in the past and now we're in the present and it's more difficult now but I feel strong and the players will give us the possibility to get through this tough spell. I feel ready to find a solution for this," Zidane continued.
Zidane guided Real to three successive Champions League titles between 2016 and 2018, and the LaLiga title last season.
This season proves to be a cut above the rest for the Frenchman, who have to get a win against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League Group B on Wednesday to cement a last 16 berth.
