Zinedine Zidane breaks silence on Sergio Ramos' future

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has commented on the future of Sergio Ramos, who is yet to agree a new deal with the club.

Ramos will be allowed to talk to other clubs from 1 January 2021 as he enters the final six months of his deal in the Spanish capital.

While the 34-year-old defender has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United in the past, Zidane is confident his captain will be with Los Blancos for many years.

"I'm going to keep working. I'm happy to be at this great club. I'm lucky to say I'm at the best club in the world," Zidane said, as per Goal.

Check where Ramos ranks among the highest earners in LaLiga:

"I just hope that the players can stay and that we can keep working with them.

"When a player wants to stay that means a lot. With Sergio Ramos, I see him staying for many years. He's looking after himself well and I'm not surprised about what he's achieving."

Ramos can make history on Sunday night as he could win his 313th LaLiga club, which would put third in the ranking behind Raul Gonzalez (327) and Iker Casillas (334).
