LaLiga match report Real Madrid v Levante

Real Madrid got back to winning ways in LaLiga after defeating Levante 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon.

With Gareth Bale missing out through suspension, James Rodriguez earned start in the Los Blancos attack while Hazard was only named on the bench.

Zinedine Zidane's troops dominated the opening exchanges, with the likes Marcelo, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos all going close in the opening 20 minute. The hosts' dominance eventually paid off after 25 minutes when Dani Carvajal got to the byline before picking out Benzema, who headed into the bottom corner.

It got better for Los Blancos and Benzema six minutes later as Rodriguez's free-kick was knocked into the path of the Frenchman, who showed his composure by slotting into the bottom corner from close range.

The rout continued as Real secured their third goal five minutes before the halftime break, with Casemiro getting on the end of Vinicius Junior's cross to poke home at the far post.

Levante, meanwhile, gave themselves some hope shortly after the break as former Real striker Borja Mayoral connected with Clerc's cross to fire past Thibaut Courtois.

With an hour gone, the home supporters finally got to see their big-money signing as Hazard made way his onto the pitch in place of Casemiro. However, the Santiago Bernabeu was silence on 75 minutes as Levante reduced the deficit once again, with Melero powering home a header from close range after some good work by Campana.

With one eye on this week's UEFA Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain, Zidane withdrew Benzma in the final 10 minutes and introduced Luka Jovic with the hopes of getting another goal.

Courtois ensured Los Blancos walked away with the spoils as he produced a good save to keep out Campana's close range header as the hosts managed to breath a sigh of relief.
