Whilst the paparazzi waited at the OR Tambo Airport to catch a glimpse of Orlando Pirates' departure to Spain for their pre-season training, they were left disappointed with the no-show of Monnapule Saleng.
Pirates jetted out of the country headed for Spain on Monday, where they are set to take their pre-season training a notch higher with the new campaign starting on 1 August.
That weekend, they face Polokwane City in the quarterfinals of the MTN8, before beginning the league campaign a week later.

The Soweto giants have lined up several friendly matches in Marbella, including against Bolton Wanderers from England and Spain's Granada.
New signings, including Sihle Nduli, Oswin Appollis, and Yonela Mbuthuma, are amongst those The Ghost are patiently waiting to see in Black and White colours.
According to a source close to Pirates, Saleng is to leave South Africa on Thursday to join the rest of his teammates for pre-season.
"Saleng is very much part of the plans for Pirates next session. He is sorting out a few things and will leave the country on Thursday to rejoin Pirates for their pre-season training in Spain," said the source.

Meanwhile, the club is set to loan out both Goodman Mosele and Azola Tshobeni to Chippa United ahead of the 2025/26 season.
