Romanian press hints at trouble for Ngezana

Reports from Romanian press are alleging that Siyabonga Ngezana may have landed himself in hot water after reportedly being spotted at a festival at 4am on Sunday.

According to Romanian outlet Sport.Ro, trouble may be brewing for Ngezana after he was seen at the Neversea Kapital festival in the early hours of Sunday morning.

His appearance at the event came just hours after the South African star featured in his side's 2–1 win over CFR Cluj in the Romanian Super Cup final on Saturday, according to the Romanian publication.

The report adds that this is the same event that disrupted the Romanian Super Cup being held at the National Arena.

The festival, held at the National Arena, forced FCSB’s match to be played at an alternative venue — the Steaua Stadium.

Sport.Ro fails to mention whether the player had received permission to attend the event.

It is said that Ngezana has previously been called out by FCSB owner Gigi Becali for his off-field behaviour, and the report from Romania claims that the boss could be annoyed by the Bafana Bafana star's latest conduct.

Furthermore, Becali is reported to have high expectations of the players at present, as he wants them to remain serious and focused for several important upcoming fixtures.

This Wednesday, FCSB are set to face Inter Club d'Escaldes from Andorra in the first qualifying round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

As such, Becali reportedly expects the players to be on their best behaviour and fully focused on these crucial matches.
