French striker Karim Benzema made Real Madrid history on Saturday night after breaking a impressive record held by the legendary Roberto Carlos.
Los Blancos moved to within three points of LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid after claiming a 2-0 victory in the Madrid derby on Saturday night.

Benzema may have finished the night without a goal, but he made his 528th appearance for the club which now makes the most-capped foreign player in the club's history.
The Frenchman equalled Roberto Carlos' record (527) in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, but he now holds the record outright.

Benzema joined Los Blancos from Olympique Lyon in 2009 and has gone on to register 257 goals and 138 assists during that period.
The French striker is also fourth on the list of the club all-time record scorers, but 10 more goals will see him surpass third-place Alfredo di Stefano.
