There have been a number of former players who have swapped the jersey of Barcelona for Los Blancos and vice-versa, but Luis Figo's move will go down as the most famous.

In 2000, Figo made the direct switch from the Camp Nou to Madrid for a then world record fee of £37.4 million after making 249 appearances for the Catalan giants.
The move did not go down well the Barcelona supporters, who expressed displeasure launching objects onto to the pitch when Figo took a corner on his return to the Camp Nou that season.
Ronalo Nazario, arguably the greatest striker of all-time, made a big name for himself at Barcelona, most notably in the 1996/97 season when he won the FIFA Player of the Year award after bagging 47 goals in 49 games.
After stint with Inter Milan, the Brazilian then made the switch to the Santiago Bernabau in 2002 after for a reported fee of €46 million to form part of the 'Galacticos' era.

Africa also has representation on the list, with Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o making three first team appearances for Real before being loaned in the following three seasons.
The striker was eventually sold to Real Mallorca in 2004 where he impressed Catalan outfit, who signed him for €27million and he went on to enjoy tremendous success, including two UEFA Champions League titles and three LaLiga crowns.
