BREAKING: Barcelona announce new signing!

Spanish giants FC Barcelona have now announced a new signing!

After parting ways with Juventus and announcing his retirement from professional football earlier this year, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has performed a massive U-turn and joined the Catalan giants as a free agent.

The Polish shot-stopper's signing comes after the Spanish giants' No. 1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen sustained a serious injury during his side's 5-1 win over Villarreal in a LALIGA encounter earlier this month, with the German now expected to be sidelined for at least eight months.

Szczesny has thus been brought in as the replacement, signing a one-year contract with the Spanish outfit.

At 34 years of age, the goalkeeper will bring with him considerable experience, having also previously represented Arsenal and AS Roma.

He has made a total of 548 career appearances, keeping an impressive 210 clean sheets along the way.

The Pole will now be looking to add to that number and impress the Barca faithful as he attempts to make his mark on the team.
