OFFICIAL: Ramovic pens new deal in North Africa

Former TS Galaxy boss Sead Ramovic has penned a new deal in North Africa just almost four months into his current role.

Ramovic has now signed a new contract with CR Belouizdad, which will keep him at the club until 2028.

The German tactician only joined the Algerian giants in early February, reportedly accepting their offer which prompted him to resign as head coach of Young Africans in Tanzania.

Since taking charge at Belouizdad, the 46-year-old has overseen 16 matches, recording nine wins, four draws, and three defeats, according to Transfermarkt.

Belouizdad currently sit third in the Algerian Ligue 1 with just three matches remaining, trailing league leaders MC Alger by five points.

Ramovic’s impressive impact in a short space of time has now been rewarded with a new long-term deal.

In a statement posted on Belouizdad’s official Facebook page, Ramovic expressed his gratitude for the trust being shown in him by the Algerian club:

"First of all, I would like to thank the club’s management, the board of directors, and our amazing supporters for placing their trust in us. Signing a new three-year contract with CR Belouizdad is a great honour for me.

"This club has a rich history and big ambitions, and we are proud to continue building something special here. This club belongs at the top of Algerian football.

"This is not pressure — CR Belouizdad is a big club and must compete for the title every season.

"In addition, we must also play a significant role in the CAF Champions League. We need to be serious contenders, respected and feared across the continent."
