A former Premier League star has claimed that, from what he has heard from his international teammates, current Al Ahly boss Marcel Koller is a better manager than Pitso Mosimane.
Mosimane is somewhat a polarising figure, with a number of his former players having criticised him as a manager, while many others have also sung his praise.

As such, perceptions of him differ depending on who you speak to, and it is perhaps no surprise that some would rank him lower than Koller in the conversation regarding Al Ahly's best managers.
Egypt national team star Mahmoud Trezeguet, who came through the Club of the Century's youth ranks, was recently quizzed on the topic during an interview with national broadcaster MBC Egypt.
When asked who he would choose between Mosimane and Koller, he replied: "I did not train with them, but what I hear from my colleagues is that Koller is the best."
The Swiss boss has won seven trophies since joining Ahly in 2022, while Mosimane claimed six titles during his two years in Cairo.
Notably, the South African boss won two CAF Champions Leagues back-to-back, as well as two consecutive CAF Super Cup trophies.
Koller could match Mosimane's Champions League record if his charges beat Esperance de Tunis on Saturday and defend their continental trophy.
Trezeguet, who has previously represented Aston Villa in the Premier League but now plays for Trabzonspor in Turkey, was also asked if he would return to his boyhood club one day.
"When will I return to Al Ahly club? While I am standing on my feet and want to win championships, I will retire from football while I am standing on my feet, and I will always follow Al Ahly in all matches," he answered.
"It is the one who made my name, and I will not play in a club for Egypt other than the Red Castle."
