It is now reported that Zamalek SC offered a certain coach around R25 million per year, but he reportedly turned it down after discovering that the club allegedly has a track record of not paying salaries on time.
Zamalek currently find themselves in a coaching dilemma after parting ways with Portuguese boss Jose Peseiro this week.
Peseiro lasted just 13 matches as head coach in Cairo, prompting yet another search for a new manager.

However, prior to Peseiro's appointment at Zamalek in February, it has now emerged that the Egyptian giants had offered the job to another coach.
According to Romanian outlet Prosport, Zamalek offered former Esperance de Tunis boss Laurențiu Reghecampf a massive $1.4 million per year (approximately R25 million) after he parted ways with the Tunisian side earlier this year.
The report claims that the Romanian tactician turned down the lucrative offer after discovering that the club had a reputation for missing payments to players and coaches.
This was confirmed by Egyptian broadcaster Khaled El-Ghandour during the television show Al-Mahwar Stadium.
El-Ghandour revealed: "The Romanian coach refused to take over Zamalek. He told Ahmed Mido that he had inquired about the club's situation and found out that it was not paying its employees on time, that it had large financial arrears.
"Basically, Reghecampf said that Zamalek was not a serious club, shocking Mido."
