Amajita will play their final group-stage game against Zambia this evening, with victory for either side guaranteeing a place in the quarter-finals.

Even a draw would be enough for South Africa to progress, while Zambia must win to advance. Their coach, Boyd Mulwanda, emphasised the importance of the match, declaring they must win “at all cost”.
“It’s very crucial and very important for the team, we just have to be positive and get a positive result. We have told the boys that this is a game we need to win at all costs for us to progress to the next round,” said Mulwanda, according to Zamfoot.com.
“Yeah, it will be a different ball game altogether. We are meeting at AFCON, they beat us in COSAFA, we just also want to take that revenge and beat them. We lost 2-0 in Mozambique, we have to make amends and also carry the day.”
He added: “We can’t promise, but what we are saying is that we will do our best and give them the positive result they desire and the team to move to the next round,” he said.
“It will be very important for the team, because if we win we go to the quarter-finals, and from there we can pick it up and see how best we can try and move forward with the team and qualify for the World Cup.”
Whichever team progresses between South Africa and Zambia will face either Ghana or DR Congo in the quarter-finals.
