Wydad Athletic Club are now said to have made a major move in their bid to sign Thembinkosi Lorch from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Wydad are reportedly eager to retain Lorch, who only joined the club during the January transfer window from Sundowns.

The South African star's current loan deal in Casablanca runs until 31 July, after the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
However, it is reported that Wydad president Hicham Ait Mena has accelerated the process of signing Lorch permanently.
According to Moroccan outlet Sport7, Ait Mena has submitted an official bid to sign the 31-year-old on a permanent transfer.
It is claimed that Wydad are convinced by Lorch's talent and are now awaiting an official response from Sundowns regarding the proposed transfer.
The Free State-born star has impressed since his move to Morocco and was recently named the club’s April Player of the Month.
Lorch has scored twice in nine Botola Pro 1 matches so far, while his overall performances have impressed both fans and the technical staff.
An attempt to reach out for comment to Mamelodi Sundowns was made but a response was not received at the time of publishing.
