According to reports in Morocco, coach Rulani Mokwena has missed out on compensation worth $1 million (approximately R18 million) following the termination of his contract at Wydad Athletic Club.
Arabic publication LeSite Info reports that Mokwena has signed a contract termination agreement with Wydad, although his departure was announced weeks earlier.

It is claimed that the South African coach will not receive any payments beyond his outstanding dues.
Mokwena will only be paid his salary for May and June, along with other match bonuses and entitlements stipulated in his contract.
However, after Wydad finished the 2024/25 Botola Pro 1 season in third place, Mokwena is reportedly not entitled to any further compensation.
LeSiteInfo claim that his contract specified that he would receive a payout of $1 million (approximately R18 million) if he won the Throne Cup or finished first or second in the league.
Since Mokwena did not meet those conditions, he was denied the lucrative payout.
Meanwhile, his replacement, Amine Benhachem, will take on the permanent role of head coach, moving from his previous position as sporting director.
Benhachem is expected to sign a deal lasting until June 2027, which will include improved financial terms.
