It is now believed that a new African club has entered the race to sign Feisal Salum, who has been heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs.
Chiefs have been linked with Salum for the better part of the past 12 months, although the Azam FC player has remained silent about his future.
The playmaker travelled to South Africa earlier this month while on international duty with Tanzania, further fuelling speculation about a potential long-term stay in the country.

At present, it is understood that there is no deal in place between Salum and Chiefs, nor does the player have an agreement with any other club.
Nevertheless, a new potential suitor has reportedly emerged, with Azam’s rivals Simba SC said to be interested in a move, according to SportPesa Tanzania.
Ahmed Ally, the manager of Simba's communications department, did not deny interest in Salum.
He said: "We cannot talk about a player who has a contract with another team, Feisal Salum we know that he has a contract with his team Azam FC and we as people who know the rules and regulations of football cannot talk about a player who has a contract.
"We know how to do it once we are successful then we can talk about him.
"What we know right now is that he still has a contract and we cannot talk about a player who has a contract.
"If we need his signature, it is known that there is a procedure that exists and a procedure that must be followed because he is currently still under contract with Azam FC, there is a procedure that must be followed.
"Once we have succeeded in finding him, if we follow the procedure, we will be allowed to speak to the media and the law does not allow us to talk about a player who is still under contract with his team.
"All that is being said remains just wishful thinking, he is still a private player who is currently under contract with another team. All I can say is that every team would love to have a player like Feisal Salum."
