Chiefs target 'finalizes' deal with Zamalek

Kaizer Chiefs could reportedly miss out on another target, with one more of their priorities said to be on the brink of joining Egyptian giants, Zamalek SC.

Amakhosi missed out on securing the signature of their long-admired Young Africans star Stephane Aziz Ki, who joined Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club over the weekend.

Now, reports from the continent are that another Yanga attacker Clement Mzize is on the verge of signing for Egyptian Premier League powerhouse Zamalek.

According to Elwatannews, Mzize, and the White Knights are finalizing a deal as the Tanzanian international is expected to travel to Egypt with his announcement imminent.

More so, another publication, Koraplus claims that Zamalek have offered Yanga at least $750,000 (Approx. R14 million) to snap up the sought-after African striker.

Mzize's current deal with Yanga is said to be running until June 2027 after the centre-forward has become a most wanted man in the transfer market, drawing significant interest from top clubs.

The 21-year-old forward was linked with a move to the Soweto giants in the recent two transfer windows, but a potential move did not happen as he now appears to be on his way to Zamalek.
