CA Talleres have confirmed the future of Lucas Suarez following his underwhelming loan spell at Mamelodi Sundowns.
In January 2025, Suarez joined Sundowns on a six-month loan deal from Talleres, which included an option to buy.

Last month, the South African champions opted not to retain the centre-back and even left him out of their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup squad.
Suárez made 14 appearances during his time at Chloorkop, registering one assist and helping the club win the 2024/25 Betway Premiership title.
However, his performances ultimately failed to convince Sundowns to secure him on a permanent deal.
It has now been revealed that the 30-year-old will not remain at his parent club, Talleres, as another Argentine side is on the verge of signing him.
Talleres confirmed via their official Instagram account: "Lucas Suarez is close to becoming a Rosario Central player.
"The Canalla side has made an offer for a one-year loan deal with a purchase option."
Suarez’s current contract with Talleres runs until December 2026, according to Transfermarkt, while his market value has since dropped to €650,000 (approximately R13.5 million).
