Polokwane City make a move for Cape Umoya United's Charles Baloyi

snl24.com/kickoff yesterday revealed the likes of Enocent Mkhabela, Lehlogonolo Masalesa, Robert Ng'ambi, Mbongeni Mzimela and Vuyo Mere have not reported for pre-season duty at Umoya following the team's relegation to the NFD and relocation to Cape Town.

According to a source close to United, City have put in a bid for Baloyi, who joined the club formerly known as Platinum Stars as a teenager and became a regular under coach Roger de Sa in Phokeng last term.

"Charles is one of the players leaving the club," says the source.

"Polokwane City have shown huge interest and the deal is expected to be finalised in the next few days."

Rise and Shine, who have a new coach in Slovakian Jozef Vukusic, have added Mohammed Anas, Lehlohonolo Nhlapo, Themba Chauke, Khayalethu Mjoli, Tebogo Kalake, Bongani Manavhela and Msekeli Mvalo to their roster ahead of 2018/19.

The club have parted ways with Thabiso Semenya, Thapelo Tshilo, Nazier Jacobs, Randy Ngobe, Rendani Ndou and Donald Mokondelela.
