The transfer speculation linking Percy Tau with a move back to Egypt to join Zamalek is still without motion almost two weeks since confirmation of his release by Qatar SC.
Tau played his football for fellow Egyptian heavyweights Al Ahly for three-and-a-half years before the switch to Qatar in January.

That time with Ahly came with plenty silverware and good earnings, which put him in the bracket of top earners across North Africa.
With all the talk suggesting a move is lined up to Zamalek, this website has gathered several facts.
There has been no direct contact to date between Tau’s handlers and the decision makers at Zamalek pointing to interest and subsequent negotiations over a contract.
The White Knights have Tunisian winger Ahmed Jafeli (21) rising and showing glimpses that he will carry the load.
So, any approach for Tau will be largely dependent on Jafeli’s situation at the club, but with all signals indicating he will stay, then it could mean no approach for the Bafana Bafana international.
The position of interest for Zamalek is left wing and striker.
The next issue with Tau is that he comes on a heavy contract as was the case when he was at Ahly.
What needs to be noted is that Zamalek still have financial limitations for now and are going through the process of sorting out their house.

It has since been established that for the 31-year-old to get a contract similar to what he has been on in recent years, then he will have to remain in the Gulf Region.
His handlers are said to be pursuing options in that region, where contracts upwards of USD800 000 (approx. R14 million) per annum can be negotiated in Saudi Arabia’s Second Division.
Back home, Tau's name has been rubbed on Kaizer Chiefs, who are in need of reinforcements.
