Maritzburg United assessing Justin Jacobus and Justice Figuareido

Jacobus, 21, was released by the Urban Warriors recently, along with Siboniso Gaxa, Roscoe Pietersen and Junaid Sait.

Maritzburg announced the signing of Keagan Buchanan on Wednesday and could add Jacobus to their team, as they look to perform better than they did last season. They finished fourth and were runners-up in the Nedbank Cup.

Another player also on trial at the Team of Choice is Swaziland midfielder Justice Figuareido. The 19-year-old, who plays for Manzini Sundowns, is on a 10-day trial.

Figuaredo, who has played for Swaziland’s junior teams and the senior side, is said to have also attracted interest from National First Division side Mbombela United.

“Justin Jacobus is training with Maritzburg United,” a source tells snl24.com/kickoff.

“There's also Swazi winger Justice Figuaredo, also on a 10-day trial at the club.”

According to the Swazi Observer, a decision on Figuareido’s future will be made next week.
