Masalesa, 26, is trying to win over new Lidoda Duvha coach Dylan Kerr, along with fellow trialists and former Platinum Stars teammates Enocent Mkhabela and Abia Nale.
Kerr, who recently quit Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, joined the Absa Premiership strugglers last month following the departure of Joel Masutha.
"Masalesa has been there at Leopards for two weeks now," a source told snl24.com/kickoff.
"The coach there prefers him to Mkhabela, even though he is not fit and looks out of shape. But remember that the boy is represented by the same agent who recommended Kerr to the club."
Masalesa, who captained Bafana Bafana at the 2017 COSAFA Castle Cup, has also turned out for Bidvest Wits and Greek outfit AE Larisa.
He last played competitive football for Dikwena in 2017/18 before the club’s relegation, relocation and name change to Cape Umoya United.
