SAFA comments on raunchy Bafana Bafana post

The bizarre event took place shortly after 11am on Tuesday when out of nowhere an image of a woman dressed quite explicitly was tweeted on Bafana's profile.

The tweet, which was captioned "With my favourite babe", was met with a barrage of reactions as fans are bemused with the post, which has since been deleted.

There were suggestions that it may have been a blunder on the administrator's part, however, the South African football organising body told KickOff that the post was in fact not an error by the social media manager as some believed, but instead a breach of security.

"Unfortunately, we saw the image. Our account was hacked and we trying to rectify that," said SAFA spokesperson Dominic Chimhav.

"We are working on changing the passwords"

The image is reportedly by a local Instagram model.

Meanwhile, in footballing matters, the national teams are flying high after Bafana Bafana secured a spot in the final of the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations on Monday night after beating Zambia 1-0 in a tense encounter.

They will face hosts Morocco for the continental crown, while a young Bafana side won the 2022 COSAFA Plate title on Sunday.
