The 23-year-old is part of that group of Chiefs players who made a good name for themselves in the Multichoice Diski Challenge, alongside the likes of Njabulo Blom and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.
The midfielder's nonchalant body language on the field is also reflected in his effortless casual way of dressing.
Mashiane seems like a naturally cool and calm person, and the Thembisa-born playmaker makes simple style choices that fully capture what streetwear fashion is about.
His preference for casual fashion is further demonstrated by the fact that he was one of the few players selected to model some of the items from two of Amakhosi's lifestyle collections, KC Streetwear and KC Urban Edition.
It is, however, unfortunate that Mashiane's game time has been restricted under new manager Stuart Baxter, who has seemingly frozen out the versatile left-footer. The former MDC star has made just one appearance in the league this season.
The long-term injury to Sifiso Hlanti may provide a window of opportunity for the player, as he can also feature in the left-wingback position.
